From Airport Tears to Triumph:

My Healing Journey To Overcoming Arthritis

It was one of the lowest points in my life. Thanksgiving 2018, and I was on the way to see my sister for the holiday. I didn’t realize when I booked that flight that surrendering to a wheelchair would be necessary for me to get through the airport to make my connecting flight. After 3 hours of sitting on a cramped plane, I landed at the Atlanta airport at gate C54. I needed to walk 54 gates to the train, connect to terminal D, and walk 65 gates to board my connecting flight. For a healthy person, this was quite a hike. I couldn’t do it.

You see, I have battled with arthritis in my knees and hips since I was in my late teens. I wasn’t healthy. I was in excruciating pain after the flight and walking four gates of the journey. I was in too much pain to walk the distance. I found a chair at an empty gate and cried tears of defeat. The kind of crushing tears that leak from your soul. The kind that comes from losing a battle you’ve fought for decades with no relief. I can laugh about this now, but truly, I was the crazy woman in the full-on sobbing breakdown sitting in that airport.

This was about more than just getting to my connecting flight. This was the rock bottom where I realized that as a 50-year-old single mom with big dreams and lots of responsibilities that, living pain-free was just a dream. Life isn’t easy for anyone, but I was exhausted from decades of dealing with pain. I struggled to walk. Western medicine had no answers as to why or what caused this, but I managed pain for years. My choices were prescription meds to suppress my immune system and increase my risk for MS and cancer or to suffer. So, mostly, I suffered. I found an acupuncturist and chiropractor who helped me through some of the low times, but the pain never completely went away.

Sitting at that gate, seeing through those tears, I made arrangements for a wheelchair to transport me to my connecting flight. So, this is what my life had become, and it sucked.

This is where the story takes a major turn. When I got home, I told a friend about my frustration and pain. She happened to work at the Tennant Institute. I scheduled an appointment that transformed my life, my future, and my health. Suddenly I got to have conversations about the root cause of my autoimmune disease with a path that included hope and tools for me to use every single day to manage my health.

The journey hasn’t been easy, but I’ve dealt with the root causes, managed my voltage with the Biomodulator and BioTransducer, and daily, I take the nutraceuticals Dr. Tennant designed.

living my best life

Now, I’m not going to run a marathon or climb Mount Everest, but I live the dream most days of not being in pain. Just before Thanksgiving 2022, I got to fly into that dreaded airport on the way to visit one of the Tennant Products manufacturers. I walked 14K steps that day with my team. I gladly walked it pain-free and was happy to have my life back.

When we say this work is our passion, we mean it. It changes lives, including my own.
